Herb syrups are a great way of preserving herbs for other uses, to pour over ice cream, to use in recipes or give as homemade gifts.
Dosage as a cough syrup - adults 2 teaspoons, children 1 teaspoon 3 to 6 times a day.
Do not give honey to children under 12 months old
This syrup is NOT suitable for diabetics whether you've made it with honey or sugar.
Ingredients: do not use both honey and sugar
13/4 ounces or 40g of fresh herb - 15g of dried.
1 1/8 Cup (8 oz, 225g) sugar OR
2/3 Cup (8 oz, 225g) honey
1 3/4 Cup (3/4 pint, 450 ml) water

Thyme,
Sage,
Verbascum
