► A former NHS surgeon who had both legs amputated has been jailed for insurance fraud - following the revelation that his injuries were entirely self-inflicted.

Neil Hopper also admitted three counts of possessing extreme pornography, with the court hearing that he had a “sexual interest in amputation”.
