*The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure has issued a stern warning to participants in protests against undocumented immigration not to commit violence and acts of criminality.

*Border Management Authority officials from around the country have been deployed to the Beitbridge border post to support the repatriation of thousands of foreign nationals.
This follows the closure of repatriation centres in Durban, and the establishment of a processing centre in Musina.

*Gift of the Givers is working with other organisations to provide food and shelter to about 2-thousand people who have converged at the Department of Home Affairs offices in Epping in Cape Town.

*A shooting at a youth welfare facility near Hamburg in northern Germany, has left six people dead.
Police say all those killed were adults.
No motive for the attack has been established.
