Oxfordshire village votes to leave UK over military base asylum seeker plans | 5 News

► The Government has announced the closure of 13 more asylum hotels amid ongoing pressure around the cost of housing them in hotels, and a record-breaking small boat crossing this week.

The new plan is to move people to unused military sites, including near the village of Piddington in Oxfordshire.

The government wants to house 1,250 people at the Bicester barracks. Piddington residents aren’t happy about it and want to leave the UK, Brexit style.
