The Abundant Life with Pastor John Hagee -
God, in Exodus 20:8-11, commands us to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. This is more than just a call to rest—it is a call to remember the goodness of God. From the beginning of creation, God set aside a day for rest and reflection. Yet, how quickly we forget His blessings! The Children of Israel forgot the miracles they had witnessed in Egypt, from the parting of the Red Sea to the manna from heaven. They forgot His power and turned to idols. How often do we forget God's goodness when the storms of life arise?
The Bible reminds us that those who remember the Sabbath are happier, more peaceful, and enjoy richer family ties. We must take time to reflect on His mercy and faithfulness, even in difficult times. When life’s challenges seem overwhelming, stop and count your blessings. God's love and provision never fail. Remember, He has carried you this far, and He will continue to carry you.
