He was tormented by questions of origin: why, African-American in appearance, he bears the surname Klakovitz, and why the system cannot help find his biological parents? Despite the pain, humiliation and despair, he develops strength and determination to change his own fate. This is a story about the struggle for the right to be yourself, about the indomitability of spirit and the belief that even in the darkest times there is a chance to find your place in the world.
