‘Absolutely petrified’: Chilling new details emerge in Ann Widdecombe killing

Sky News host Sharri Markson recounts the chilling alleged murder of former British MP Ann Widdecombe.

“I want to turn to the shocking new details about Ann Widdecombe's alleged murder in the UK which have emerged overnight,” Ms Markson said.

“The 78-year-old former British MP, who'd become a national treasure, was at home alone and had just finished a TV interview. She was eating lunch, just after midday, when there was an intruder.

“He allegedly entered through an open door near her kitchen, struck her in the head with a hammer 21 times, stole her wallet and left.

“He was in the house for just two minutes. Such a violent and shocking murder allegedly carried out in the space of 120 seconds. She would have been absolutely petrified.”
