homemade white bread ЁЯНЮ
recipe makes 2 loaves

what youтАЩll need
6 cups bread flour
2 cups of warm water
2 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp salt

in a small bowl add your warm water (90 degrees temp), sugar, and yeast. whisk until bubbles form, cover with a towel and set aside for 10 minutes.
in a larger bowl mix your flour and salt. in another bowl melt your butter and honey. this does not need to be cohesive just melted.
once your yeast is active and has a foam layer, add that liquid to your flour and add your melted butter and honey as well. mix until the dough is well incorporated and no dry spots are left. cover and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place. I like to place mine in the oven with the oven light on. once the dough is double in size, punch it down and separate into 2 pieces.
begin forming your loaves. I like to fold my dough into itself a few times to make sure itтАЩs light and airy. then I roll it and fold/pinch the ends into its underside. place the loaf into a buttered loaf pan. cover and let rise a 2nd time for 1 hour.
preheat the oven to 360 degrees. when your loaves have doubled in size you can bake them for 20-25 minutes. the longer you bake the more golden and crunchy your crust will be. I prefer mine on the lighter side.
when the baking is done you can butter the top of the loaves and remove from their pans. place them on a cooling rack to completely cool before slicing. #homemadebread #bread #howto #cook #easyrecipe
