Air Fryer French Fries are sooo yummy when you make them in the air fryer! Plus they are sooo much healthier because you only use 2 tablespoons (or less!) of oil! Air Fryer French Fries:
Serves 3ish
1.5 pounds russet potatoes (look for larger ones for nice long french fries!)
1-2 tablespoons oil
optional: 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp garlic powder (how do you love to season your fries?)

Cut potatoes lengthwise into planks, then into 1/2 inch sticks for the fries. Place potatoes in a large bowl and fill with cold water. Drain and repeat until water stays clear. Then cover with HOT tap water and let sit for 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry well. Then gently toss potatoes with 1 tablespoon oil in a dry bowl. Cook for 5-10 minutes at 350˚F/177˚C or until potatoes go from white to blonde in color. Transfer back to bowl and gently toss with 1 more tablespoon of oil (optional) and your seasoning of choice (or just salt at the end of cooking). Cook for 10-20 more minutes, depending on the thickness of your fries, tossing in the bowl every 5 minutes for even coating and air frying.
