Ingredients
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
½ cup (100 g) packed light brown sugar
½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ cup (185 g) all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp (7.5 g) cornstarch
½ tsp (2.5 g) baking soda
½ tsp (2.5 g) salt
1 ½ cup (262 g) chocolate chips
1 cup (100 g) lightly toasted, coarsely chopped pecans (optional)
Directions
1. Cream the butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar together well. Beat in the egg and the vanilla.
2. In a separate bowl, sift the flour with the cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Add this to the butter mixture and stir until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans (if using).
3. Using a small ice cream scoop or a tablespoon, scoop spoonfuls of dough (about 2 Tbsp) shape them into a ball and place onto a parchment lined baking tray or a plate. Chill the scooped cookies for at least an hour, or once chilled, the cookies can be frozen for baking later.
4. Preheat the oven to 325ºF (162 C). Arrange the chilled scooped cookies onto parchment-lined baking trays, leaving 3 inches between the cookies. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until browned around the edges. Cool the cookies on the baking tray. If baking cookie dough that has been frozen, arrange the frozen cookies on the baking tray and let them thaw for 20 minutes at room temperature before baking as above.

You may or may not have a soldering iron but I consider something that you can buy for under 20 bucks pretty basic. A drill is something everyone has or at least know someone with one :)
-What soldering iron do I need?
Almost any will do but a fine point is recommended.
-Where do you get that universal flux?
You don't need to have this specific type. Most will do. Or try some different brands and see what works the best. If anyone knows a good combination sold in the USA let me know!
-What is the base made of?

Ingredients:
3kg (6.5lb) Plum/Roma tomatoes
2-3 tablespoons Olive oil
1 large onion
3 garlic loves
Salt to taste
1-2 teaspoons Oregano (optional)
7-8 Basil leaves
2 tablespoons Lemon juice/vinegar (if canning use ¼ cup)
Directions:
1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Meanwhile prepare an ice bath. Core out the stems from the tomatoes and slice a shallow "X" in the bottom of each tomato.
2. Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water for 30-60 seconds, then transfer to ice bath. Remove the skin from the tomatoes.
3. Chop the tomatoes into small chunks and set aside.
4. In a large pot heat olive oil. Add chopped onion and sauté over low heat until golden, about 7-8 minutes. Add crushed garlic and sauté for 2 minutes more.
5. Add chopped tomatoes to the pot, season with salt, oregano and basil. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 60-90 minutes, until reaches desired consistency (until almost all the liquid has evaporated and the tomatoes are reduced to a thick, jam-like consistency). Stir frequently. At the end add the vinegar, stir and turn the heat off.
6. If you prefer smooth tomato sauce, puree the sauce using a hand blender. Transfer to a jar.
Notes:
• The best tomatoes for making homemade sauce: there are many types of tomatoes, I would recommend making homemade tomato sauce with Roma tomatoes, Plum tomatoes, San Marzano or a combination of serval kinds. It is important to use ripe tomatoes.
• Onion, garlic, basil and oregano are just optional additions. You can omit them all or use some of them.
• Canning: Pour into sterilized canning jars and twist on sterilized lids until very secure. Place jars in a pot of boiling water for 30 minutes. Let cool completely on the counter. Make sure that the lids have sealed completely. If the lid pops up when pressed, the canning process did not work properly. Store in your pantry for up to one year!
• How to store tomato sauce in the fridge: transfer the sauce to a sterilized jar and keep in the fridge up to 2 weeks
• How to store tomato sauce in the freezer: let the sauce cool completely, transfer to a jar/can or container and freeze up to 2-3 months.

Who doesn't love gummy candy, and who doesn't love LEGO?
5 years ago I was fascinated with it, wondering how it was made, and what gave it its gummy texture. It feels so good on the teeth to bite into it, and my kids go crazy for them .. so I spent a bit of time researching how they're made commercially.
My biggest motivation for doing this was to see if we could make our own at home, and I'm actually still trying to figure out how to make gelatin and corn syrup from scratch, so if I can figure out how to do that, maybe I'll show how to do it in another project video.
Only a small handful of you have ever seen the LEGO Gummy video I made in 2010, and that's because it was nearly 5 years ago, before I really got serious about making videos. I took it off my channel in 2012 because I had full intentions of making a better version, so here it is .. 3 years later! :)
Now I wanted to make candies that made people look twice, and LEGO bricks instantly came to mind because what's more awesome than LEGO and gummy put together? But I wasn't sure where could you get a mold for making LEGO bricks.
Surfing around the internet, I stumbled across an awesome Instructable by SFHandyman: http://bit.ly/IBSFHandyman
To my amazement, not only had he shown how to make a mold for making LEGO candy, he also made LEGO gummies as well!
I played around with loads of variations in recipes to see what texture and tastes I liked the best. And I've kept experimenting off and on for the last 4 years, using my kids and wife for feedback. They gobble them up no matter what variations I use, but I've finally settled on 1/2 cup of very cold water, 1/4 cup of corn syrup, 2 packets of unflavored gelatin, and 1 pack of Jell-O. I've found that the corn syrup seems to help smooth out the texture and the taste.
If you try making this recipe, it's very important to start the gelatin in cold water. Stir it up, then let it sit for 5 minutes before you turn on the heat. Otherwise, you'll get gobby clumps of undissolved gelatin in your syrup that doesn't look very appetizing.
I originally made my silicone mold with a 2 part mix from a special effects supply company. I used real LEGO bricks set on a LEGO base, and built a makeshift retaining wall with bricks and play-dough. I don't plan to make a tutorial on how to make the mold, but I want to do a video on how to make a silicone mold in general. It's amazing to see how much detail the silicone can transfer to the final gummy products. If you look closely at my candies you can even see the little “LEGO” text on top of the gummy LEGO studs.
To make sour gummies, we often add citric acid. They are incredible! But if you don't have citric acid, try taking SFHandyman's suggestion and add vitamin C. The citric and ascorbic acids in the vitamins sour them the same way, which actually makes them taste just as great, and enriches them with vitamin C as well.

Scotch eggs are a perfect way to incorporate wild garlic, you can get creative with what you add to your sausage mix but let the wild garlic be the dominant flavour and you won't regret it.
ingredients:
Eggs (extra for coating)
Sausage meat
wild garlic
Oil (I used duck fat but any oil that can handle high heat will do)
Bread crumbs
Boil your eggs for 7 minutes (8 min for hard boiled) then add to cold water to stop them cooking. Chop the wild garlic and add to the sausage meat, you can add what you like at this stage... get creative. Cut some clingfilm and lightly oil the surface, flatten out your sausage meat, add the peeled egg and make sure it's completely incased in the meat. Coat in beaten egg and then breadcrumbs and repeat for an extra crunch. Heat your oil until a cube of bread turns golden brown in 1 minute and then add your eggs and cook for 6 minutes until they also turn a nice golden brown. Place on kitchen roll or a wire rack to cool slightley and then serve. These will keep in the fridge for a couple of days and make great picnic food. ENJOY!

Use a regular plastic or paper bag and prevent their clothes from getting damaged. If your kid mostly loves drawing with markers, we will show you how to store them and keep the table clean. In this video, we will share helpful studying hacks with you. You will see an easy game that will help your kid learn numbers. We will also show you a simple way to teach your kids to read and improve their vocabulary. If your child loves chemistry and trying fun experiments, do this. Mix baking soda, dye, and vinegar to see a fantastic chemical reaction! If your kid is not a fan of cleaning their teeth and does it for less than a minute, then we have a hack for you! Create a mini version of an hourglass, and put lots of glitter inside. Use your child’s favorite color to make the hourglass look cute and fun to use! If your kid loves drawing with crayons outside, put them in water for a minute to make them look brighter.
