A rubber mold for concrete statues will fail without an outside support, which is where a fiberglass mother mold (shell) is essential. The fiberglass can hold the massive weight of concrete, and it will hold the form until it hardens for demolding. It also is light and easy to use, allowing for quicker statue production. This video will give a detailed demonstration, along with tips and ideas, for creating an effective "mother mold" for creating concrete statues.

Make a long-lasting rot-proof raised garden bed by casting your own concrete panels with these abs durable plastic molds. These concrete forms have a removable pipe that forms a hole in the overlapping end of the cast garden box wall. Rebar is inserted in the holes to pin the corners together either in a straight line or at a 90 degree corner. I've been making these wooden molds and casting these concrete garden box panels for around 10 years now. 5 years ago I made a video showing my first wooden mold design from plywood. In the years since I've refined and simplified the design in an attempt to make them easier to build, and to also experiment with making the panels lighter.
Not everyone who wants a raised concrete garden bed has the tools or ability to make their own molds. That's where these new plastic forms come in. Now you don't have to build anything at all. If you can add water to a bag of concrete mix then you can make these panels. I have made a lot of concrete planters and this time I wanted to experiment with making reusable molds. This segmented concrete planters are made out of Quikrete 5000 concrete mix which comes pre mixed in 80lbs bags and all you have to do is add water. I made one mold out of left over PVC 1-1/4” PVC pipe screwed to a piece of vinyl floor mat. The concrete hexagon planter was made out of pieces of PVC trim board ¾” thick and 5-1/2” wide. I used hinges to connect the boards. The insides of the concrete planters are made from mixing buckets and plastic bottles.

A paver walkway is nice, but very expensive and time consuming. A plain slab of concrete is less expensive, but plain to look at. There are some neat molds that allow you to have the look of intricate pavers but poured from concrete. I've never used them until now, but how hard can it be? I'll let you know.
