The so-called "Codex XIII" is not a codex, but rather the text of Trimorphic Protennoia, written on "eight leaves removed from a thirteenth book in late antiquity and tucked inside the front cover of the sixth." (Robinson, NHLE, p. 10) Only a few lines from the beginning of Origin of the World are discernible on the bottom of the eighth leaf.

Emerald tablets of thoth the atlantean. Master of master teacher of teachers. Thoth the atlantean brought the source of knowledge from all the ancients of the past and coded into a text found in the early 20th century. Because if this text many religion and occult practices have formed. Unfortunaly most of then occult practices and religions have become dogmatic and left out the heart of the information. It is said that one must hear and read the words of the emerald tablets at least a hundred times before the teachings can finally sink in. And to be fair, I've read the emerald tablets quite a few times and with each reading i find myself deeper and deeper into the mystery.

The Emerald Tablet, also known as the Smaragdine Tablet, or Tabula Smaragdina, is a compact and cryptic piece of the Hermetica reputed to contain the secret of the prima materia and its transmutation. It was highly regarded by European alchemists as the foundation of their art and its Hermetic tradition. The original source of the Emerald Tablet is unknown. Although Hermes Trismegistus is the author named in the text, its first known appearance is in a book written in Arabic between the sixth and eighth centuries. The text was first translated into Latin in the twelfth century. Numerous translations, interpretations and commentaries followed.

The layers of meaning in the Emerald Tablet have been associated with the creation of the philosopher's stone, as well as with other esoteric ideas.
