Lyrics:
Born in the heat of the desert
My mother died givin' me life
Deprived of the love of a father
Blamed for the loss of his wife
You know Lord I've been in a prison
For something that I've never done
It's been one hill after another
And I've climbed them all one by one
Oh but this time Lord you gave me a mountain,
A mountain you know I may never climb
It isn't just a hill any longer
You gave me a mountain this time
My woman got tired of the heartaches
Tired of the grief and the strife,
So tired of working for nothing
Just tired of being my wife
She took my one ray of sunshine
She took my pride and my joy
She took my reason for living
She took my small baby boy
Yeah but this time Lord you gave me a mountain,
A mountain I may never climb
It isn't a hill any longer
You gave me a mountain this time
Yeah Lord, You gave me a mountain
Don't you know
You gave me a mountain this time

WOMAN
Woman, I can hardly express
My mixed emotions at my thoughtlessness
After all, I'm forever in your debt
And woman, I will try to express
My inner feelings and thankfulness
For showing me the meaning of success
Oooh ooh, well well, do do do doo doo
Oooh ooh, well well, do do do doo doo

Woman, I know you understand
The little child inside the man
Please remember, my life is in your hands
And woman, hold me close to your heart
However distant don't keep us apart
After all, it is written in the stars
Oooh ooh, well well, do do do doo doo
Oooh ooh, well well, do do do doo doo

Woman, please let me explain
I never meant to cause you sorrow or pain
So let me tell you again and again and again

I love you, yeah yeah, now and forever
I love you, yeah yeah, now and forever
I love you, yeah yeah, now and forever
I love you, yeah yeah, now and forever

ABOUT THE SONG
John: ‘One sunny afternoon in Bermuda, it suddenly hit me what women do for us… everything that I was taking for granted – because that’s the way we were brought up. My history of relationships with women is very poor – very macho, very stupid, but pretty typical of a certain type of man, which I was, I suppose – a very insecure, sensitive person acting out very aggressive and macho. Trying to cover up the feminine side, which I still have a tendency to do, but I'm learning. I'm learning that it's all right to be soft and allow that side of me out. Women really are the other half of the sky, as I whisper at the beginning of the song. It’s a 'we' or it ain’t anything.'

ABOUT THE VIDEO
The video for 'Woman' was directed and edited by Yoko Ono Lennon as a tribute to John in early 1981, during a very raw time soon after John's murder, while Yoko was still in mourning. The footage of John & Yoko together had been directed by their old friend, photographer Ethan Russell on 26 November 1980 - a sunny autumn day in Central Park in the area that would later be called 'Strawberry Fields' and at the Sperone Westwater Fischer Gallery at 142 Greene Street in SoHo, New York. There are further shots of a grieving Yoko (in a white fur coat or grey jacket), directed by Yoko and filmed at the Dakota and alone on the benches at Strawberry Fields in January 1981, that are combined with album covers, artwork, and a selection of photos by John, Bob Gruen, Nishi F. Saimaru, David Nutter, Kishin Shinoyama, Iain Macmillan, David Spindel, Paul Goresh and others. The video was remastered in 2003 from all the original footage and further enhanced in HD in 2019.

(LYRICS)

[Verse 1]
Yet another early morning
And you walk in like it's nothing
Hold up hold up hold tight
Ain't no donuts ain't no coffee
See I, know you seen me
Calling and calling
I should crack you
Right in your forehead

[Pre-Chorus]
Let me take a breath
And regain my composure
Told you one more time if you f'ed
Up it's over

[Chorus]
When it's gone, it's gone
It's gone, it's gone
You're dead wrong, so wrong
So wrong, so wrong
So just scoo-do-do-do-do
Scoo-do-do-do-do
Baby it's a wrap
Shoo-do-do-do-do
Shoo-do-do-do-do
For you baby
It's a wrap
It's a wrap for you boy
It's a wrap
Aww baby
Ooh-we oooh-oooh
E-ooh-ooh

[Verse 2]
If I ever misrepresented
My self image, then I'm sorry
I was oh so acquiescent
But I learned my lesson
Boy you're sorry
Bump-bump-bump
All out in the open
Don't make me go call Maury Povich

[Pre-Chorus]
Let me take a breath
And regain my composure
Told you one more time if you f'ed
Up it's over

[Chorus]
When it's gone, it's gone
It's gone, it's gone
You dead wrong, so wrong
So wrong, so wrong
So just scoo-do-do-do-do
Scoo-do-do-do-do
Baby it's a wrap
Shoo-do-do-do-do
Shoo-do-do-do-do
For you baby
It's a wrap
It's a wrap for you boy
It's a wrap
Aww baby

[Bridge]
Put all of your shit in the elevator
It's goin' down like a denominator
Tryin' to keep holdin' on holding on
Boy let me go
You gon' wake my neighbors
Get away from my door
That was your last shot
You ain't coming back
It's the Martini I mean it baby
It's a wrap

[Pre-Chorus]
When it's gone, it's gone
It's gone, it's gone
You dead wrong, so wrong
So wrong, so wrong

[Outro]
So just scoo-do-do-do-do
Scoo-do-do-do-do
(Boy I'm checkin' the gate)
Baby
Shoo-do-do-do-do
Shoo-do-do-do-do
(I told you)
Baby
(I told you)
It's a wrap
(If you f'ed up one more time it's over)
It's a wrap for you boy
It's a wrap
(So get up out my face I'm hung over)
Aww baby
So just scoo-do-do-do-do
Scoo-do-do-do-do
(Been sitting here)
(All night leave me alone)
Baby
(Since quarter to three I been)
Shoo-do-do-do-do
Shoo-do-do-do-do
(Drinkin' Patrón)
Baby
(Watch the credits roll)
It's a wrap
(It's a wrap)
It's a wrap
(Ha)

Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over The Country Club (Lyrics)

I'm on the run with you, my sweet love
There's nothing wrong contemplating God
Under the chemtrails over the country club
Wearin' our jewels in the swimming pool
Me and my sister just playin' it cool
Under the chemtrails over the country club

Take out your turquoise and all of your jewels
Go to the market, the kids' swimming pools
Baby, what's your sign?
My moon's in Leo, my Cancer is sun
You won't play, you're no fun
Well, I don't care what they think
Drag racing my little red sports car
I'm not unhinged or unhappy, I'm just wild

I'm on the run with you, my sweet love
There's nothing wrong contemplating God
Under the chemtrails over the country club
Wearin' our jewels in the swimming pool
Me and my sister just playin' it cool
Under the chemtrails over the country club

Meet you for coffee at the elementary schools
We laugh about nothing as the summer gets cool
It's beautiful how this deep normality settles down over me
I'm not bored or unhappy, I'm still so strange and wild

You're in the wind, I'm in the water
Nobody's son, nobody's daughter
Watching the chemtrails over the country club
Suburbia, The Brentwood Market
What to do next? Maybe we'll love it
White picket chemtrails over the country club

My love, my love

Washing my hair, doing the laundry
Late night TV, I want you on me
Like when we were kids under chemtrails and country clubs
It's never too late, baby, so don't give up
It's never too late, baby, so don't give up
Under the chemtrails over the country club, yeah (You're born in December and I'm born in June)
Under the chemtrails, over the country club, yeah (You're born in December and I'm born in June)

My Cancer is sun and my Leo is moon
My Cancer is sun and my Leo is moon
