CLIP DESCRIPTION:
June (Reese Witherspoon) and John (Joaquin Phoenix) perform "It Ain't Me, Babe."

FILM DESCRIPTION:
James Mangold's Walk the Line tells the life story of country music legend Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix), focusing primarily on the long courtship he had with June Carter (Reese Witherspoon). The film is structured as an extended flashback opening with Cash readying to take the stage at his historic Folsom Prison Concert. The film touches on his childhood, relating a horrific early incident from his life and establishing the troubled relationship he would have with his father (Robert Patrick). Cash joins the military and leaves home. During his time in the armed services he begins writing songs and romances a hometown girl (Ginnifer Goodwin). After the end of his duty he settles down and attempts to begin a music career, but his wife has trouble adjusting to his dreams. Cash auditions for Sam Phillips (Dallas Roberts), signs to Sun Records, and soon finds himself on tour with a roster of young soon-to-be legends that includes Elvis Presley (Tyler Hilton) and Jerry Lee Lewis (Waylon Malloy Payne). On this tour he meets June Carter, the daughter of the famous Carter family, and they take a liking to each other, although she refuses any serious advances from him. Cash gains world-wide fame thanks in part to the inspiration he gets from June, but eventually his marriage crumbles and he develops a serious drug addiction. The film is based on Cash's autobiographies. Phoenix and Witherspoon performed all of their own singing in the movie, just as Sissy Spacek and Beverly D'Angelo did in Coal Miner's Daughter a quarter-century before.

With new album, Sonder, Dermot Kennedy admits he’s never related to a word more. Sonder, “the realization that each random passer-by is living a life as vivid and complex as your own,” encapsulates universal themes of love, loss & hope, with the platinum-selling artist evolving into an even more expressive and powerful storyteller

Lyrics:
Because of her, because of her
Her eternal summer smile is breakin' my defenses and I know
Damn well won't find no peaceful sleepin' with no her up in my head
Caught me by the collar at the graveside
'Neath the sky of royal blue
Like you're sayin', "I'm here now"

Lovin' thoughts livin' in my young mind
Give this boy a beautiful view
And tell him "Without fear, now"
"Without fear, now"

I never questioned, I was acceptin'
Until she stepped in, movin' like beautiful truth
If there were others in that room
I didn't see 'em babe
Darker than amber
Starin' right at her
The first full laughter
Askin' six days into June
Spendin' my evenings on the roof

Can't tire of thinkin' 'bout you
And I wonder if this'll all work out
Can't tire of thinkin' 'bout you
Now alone it's all that I know

The summer's shown where we should go
You smile in the winter, let summer show
I'm movin' on a feelin' here, I don't know
Never hide baby, always grow
And I wanna do somethin' for you
But I can see it now
You'd smile and tell me not to
I know I wanna be her run to
Will there be demons when we come through?
What would it do if I told you?

When all of this is over, I...
Love me like there ain't another day
Lead with the heart, ain't that the only way?
Keep thinkin' 'bout how much I changed today
When all of this is over, I...
Love me like there ain't another day
Lead with the heart, ain't that the only way?
Keep thinkin' 'bout how much we changed today
When all of this is over, I...

Now I really think you're heaven sent
'Cause you've been forcin' all these hollow hearts to feel again
Now I really think you're heaven sent
'Cause there's a beauty in being broken, I've been seein' it

Ooh
