Studying Herbal Medicine: What School Should I Go To? 121gamers 2 Views • 4 years ago

So you've decided you want to study herbal medicine. Many congratulations on your new path! Learning about botanical and plant based medicine is a worthy field to immerse yourself in.

At least a few times I month I get messages asking about herb school and herbal education. With such a vast and diverse variety of options out there, it's not wonder people feel a bit lost.

I created this video with the new and budding, soon-to-be student in mind. So thoughts and questions to help guide you on your new path.

How To Make Tinctures 101 / Wound Healing Tincture Spray / Herbal Medicine From The Garden 121gamers 2 Views • 4 years ago

How to make tinctures 101 / herbal tincture / wound healing tincture spray / herbal medicine from the garden
This is the beginners guide to making tinctures, If you are interested in being more self reliant when it comes to healing your family, making tinctures with herbs from your own garden is easier than you may think.
If you have questions like:
What is a tincture?
Why would you use a tincture?
How do you harvest herbs for herbal medicine?
When do you harvest herbs for medicinal purposes?
Where do you get herbs?
How to make a tincture?
How to use a tincture?
How long can you brew a tincture?
How long does a tincture last?
I cover these questions and show you how to make your own herbal healing tincture and show you how to mix it up into a spray and use it too.
The herbs I use in this video are:
Calendula – Latin name: Calendula officinalis
Comfrey – Latin name: Symphytum officinale
Yarrow – Latin name: Achillea millefolium

Welcome to Moat Cottage Homesteading, I'm Elissa and here at Moat Cottage, we raise and grow and process some of our own free range meat, organic vegetables and fruit. We grow all of our herbs for both eating and medicinal purposes as well as hunt, fish and forage.
Our goal each season is to preserve our produce for the year ahead by canning, dehydrating, fermenting and freezing and we work on being prepared for emergency situations.
Avoiding single use plastic, chemicals and artificial fragrances is important to us and we are trying to live an older style life, balanced with this modern world.

Our HERBAL & MEDICINAL Cabinet Tour for Medical Preparedness — Ep. 116 121gamers 2 Views • 4 years ago

One of the first things that we got when we finally got to the new homestead was a first aid kid, because inevitably—injuries, ailments and illnesses happen. Plus we know being out in the country—we're further away from hospitals and ambulances, so the more that we can be self-sufficient as far as medical supplies go—the better off we'll be. We started to not only streamline some of our medical supplies but also organize them so it's easier for anyone at the homestead to find something to help their condition, ailment or injury.

Additionally, we teamed up with Jase Medical—the sponsor of this video—to beef up on our supplies of emergency antibiotics, which we think is also important to have on hand in times of need.

To get your Jase Case and schedule your consultation, head over to: jasemedical.com/flockfingerlakes and you can use the code: FLOCK10 to get $10 off.

We also highlighted some of the supplies featured here below, which may qualify us for affiliate revenues, which supports the channel:

I'LL BE THERE - LYRICS

When the tears are rolling down
Like a river to the ocean
And there's no one else around
You won't question my devotion
Everybody needs somebody
And you got me
You know that I know that you know that
I'll be there for the highs and lows
Give you mine if your heart gets broke
By your side when you're all alone
I will be there
When you're down and down on your luck
No ride home and you got too drunk
2 a.m. I'ma pick you up
I will be there
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
When you're down and down on your luck
No ride home and you got too drunk, woah
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
When your heart could use a break
And it's too broken to be open
I'll be patient, I will wait
Until you're ready to be open
Everybody (everybody)
Needs somebody (needs somebody)
And you got me
You know that I know that you know that
I'll be there for the highs and lows
Give you mine if your heart gets broke
By your side when you're all alone
I will be there
When you're down and down on your luck
No ride home and you got too drunk
2 a.m. I'ma pick you up
I will be there
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
When you're down and down on your luck
No ride home and you got too drunk, woah
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
I'll be there for the highs and lows
Give you mine when your heart gets broke
By your side when you're all alone
I will be there
When you're down and down on your luck
Gave your all but it's not enough
Take my hand and I'll pick you up
I will be there
(I will be there)
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
When you're down and down on your luck
No ride home and you got too drunk, woah
I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there for you
I'll be there for you
