How to Make Yogurt at Home | Homemade Yogurt Recipe
Making yogurt at home for you and your family is fun, easy and can save you a lot of money in the long run!
Homemade yogurt is a snap to make. All you really need is good quality milk, a few spoonfuls of your favorite plain yogurt to use as a starter culture, and some time to let it sit.
Yogurt making does not require any specialized equipment. To make yogurt at home, all you need is "yogurt starter culture" or "store-bought yogurt" and milk.
2L RAW MILK (has not been pasteurized)
1 TBSP YOGURT
BRING TO A BOIL
START LOW-TEMPERATURE COOKING AND STIR
LET IT SIMMER FOR 15 MINUTES
REMOVE FROM HEAT CLOSE THE LID LET IT COOL
1 TBSP YOGURT
THE BEST MILK TEMPERATURE 107-109°F (42-43°C)
KEEP IT WARM AROUND 95-105°F (35-40°C)
LET IT 8 - 10 HOURS
PUT IN THE FRIDGE FOR A NIGHT
