Must Watch Now! 2-Ingredient Body Wash Recipe!
Must Watch Now! 2-Ingredient Body Wash Recipe! Helena 3 Views • 15 days ago

Today I'm sharing the easiest body wash recipe ever! This body wash is thick, luxurious, & amazing! Plus, it gets your loofah sudsy & full of bubbles with just a tiny bit. All you need is grated soap & water!
RECIPE: 3 ounces grated soap (85 milliliters/grams) [21.5%] + 300 milliliters water [73%]
(recommended) +2 milliliters preservative [.5%] + 20 milliliters fragrance oil [5%].
Grate the soap as fine as possible; 3 ounces total. Mix soap with 300 milliliters water. Boil the soap about 2 minutes to make sure it's completely dissolved. Don't worry about water evaporation at this point. Just get the soap dissolved. Later, you can add as much water as you want to thin the body wash out! *** I prefer a thicker body wash, so I only added a bit of additional water to the recipe. Cool mixture below 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius) to add optional ingredients. *** I recommend waiting at least 8-12 hours to check the final thickness of the body wash. It will thicken over time.
I used optiphen ONLY because I couldn’t find germall (in the sea of products in my tiny cabinet), but Germall is recommended. *** Add preservative AFTER the body wash is the perfect consistency. The more water you add, the more preservative the body wash will need. I also added 20 ml fragrance. This may seem like a lot of fragrance but the scent added equals to 5% total.
When pouring it in the bottles, you may need to heat it up a bit in order to get it into a more fluid state. Once in the bottle it will thicken again. If you're planning on doing layers, I highly recommend doing a test run first to make sure you like the color pattern. To get soft layers instead of hard straight layer lines, fill the bottle then pour a little bit out on an angle. Turn the bottle as you're pouring. Do this until you're satisfied then pour the mix back in.

***NOTE: I gave a bottle to my friend & she said it was great but there was NO lather when she put it on her hands. I tried it like she did (without a loofah) & there was very little lather. So, I recommend adding .5 ounces of SLSa (melt it down with soap) OR just use a loofah every time in order to make lather/suds!***

Use high-quality fragrance oils that smell strong, amazing, last long a long time. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE right now is Magnolia Blush! It smells Ah-mazing!!! Find them here:

The other scent that is highly recommended is Avobath. This is a citrus-based scent that smells wonderful! Find it here: https://www.theflamingcandle.com/search.php?search_query=avobath&section=product

How to Make Bath Powder: Bubble Bath & Body Wash In One!
How to Make Bath Powder: Bubble Bath & Body Wash In One! Helena 2 Views • 15 days ago

Today I'm showing you how to make dry body wash & you can also use it as bubble bath. I call it "Scrub & Bubbles" (like the cleaner) for short. This stuff is awesome, easy to make, & you're going to love it!

I'm making avocado-themed scrub & bubbles, but make any kind that you want! This is a "soft" recipe (you don’t have to follow it exactly). Feel free to change ingredients & adjust amounts. I encourage it!

RECIPE: 30 grams baking soda, 30 grams citric acid, 30 grams [any type] clay (kaolin), 10 grams avocado powder, 10 grams sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSa) [or sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, or sodium coco sulfate] + 7 milliliters fragrance oil, 10 milliliters alcohol [aids in a drier/rougher texture], & 20 milliliters liquid surfactant [to activate mix] (I used castile soap, but Cocamidopropyl Betaine is better; it's a foam booster & makes bubbles last longer). *** I didn’t add polysorbate 80, but you should add 2-4 milliliters if adding mica, especially dark mica powder. * Only add small amounts of Ingredients that have a tendency to stick together, like coconut milk powder. This is why I only added 10 grams of Avocado powder. * The baking soda/citric acid are crucial- they create a coarse texture. The slsa creates rich foam, thick later, & bubbles.

DIRECTIONS: Sieve dry ingredients together. Mix fragrance & alcohol and add it to dry ingredients. Mix well. Lay it flat & spread it out. Dry 1 hour. Pour mixture into bowl. Add 20 milliliters liquid surfactant to make powder react & puff up. This will create a hard/rough texture once it's dry (a great pouring consistency). Mix everything together well. Lay the mixture flat on paper & spread it out. *Speed up drying time by periodically breaking up chunks throughout the drying process*. Dry it completely (24 - 48 hours). Once it's completely dry, sieve it. For a smoother consistency, blend it - but not too much; allow some rough texture to remain so it pours easily. To make sparkling & colorful layers, take about 1/3 - 1/4 of the mix & divide it. Add color/mica to each. Each time you pour powder in, pack the jar (pack at an angle for diagonal layers).

This recipe fills a 4.5 ounce jar. It should last a while (a year or more).

What if mixture isn't drying? Give it sufficient time to dry (this may take 2-3 days). After, try the following remedies: Re-wet the mixture with alcohol & allow it to dry. Re-wet the mixture with a liquid surfactant & allow it to dry. Add more dry ingredients, like citric acid (it's the perfect pouring texture). If it's still not drying, you may want to throw it out & start over.

Create Your Own Luxurious Coconut Dream Body Scrub Bars!
Create Your Own Luxurious Coconut Dream Body Scrub Bars! Helena 4 Views • 15 days ago

Today I'm showing you how to make coconut body scrub bars. This is a fluffy scrub bar that goes on easy, exfoliates perfectly, creates lots of foam and lather, and rinses off effortlessly.

RECIPE
25 grams cupaucu Butter, 25 grams raw Coconut Oil (solid at room temperature), 25 grams stearic acid, 25 grams coconut oil (liquid at room temperature), 25 grams fragrance oil, .5 grams of preservative, + 25 grams baking soda, 25 grams citric acid, 50 grams SLSa sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, 200 grams exfoliate (I added 100 grams Epsom salt + 100 grams sugar)

You don't have to follow the recipe exactly. Make changes as you see fit. Just know that doing so may alter the final body scrub. The butter and raw coconut oil are the base for the scrub bars. Use any butter that you want. The stearic acid makes the bars firm and solid so I'd definitely add it. The only necessary dry ingredient is the exfoliate. All other dry ingredients are optional - although they're recommended to get foam and lather. Once activated with water, the baking soda and citric acid create a light fluffy blanket of foam that's very easy to rinse off. And the SLSa creates additional foam & thick lather.

Sieve dry ingredients together first. Melt butter, raw coconut oil, & stearic acid together (use any heating method). Add coconut oil. Cool liquid to about 100 degrees Fahrenheit and add fragrance oil. Cool more, to about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, then add preservative (Germall plus). *** When liquid mixture is around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit, add it to dry ingredients & mix well. Add scrub mixture to molds. Pack the mixture well to make it compact and flatten the tops. Freeze scrub bars until they are frozen solid - this makes it easy to unmold them. After unmolding bars, allow them to become room temperature. Now they're ready to package and to use!

To use, wet skin liberally then rub bar thoroughly on skin to exfoliate. Add water to activate baking soda and citric acid; you'll notice a light fluffy blanket of foam that's very easy to rinse off.
