On July 18, a massive riot broke out in the northern English city of Leeds in Harehills. Reports say the chaos fell out of children being taken into care by govt agents in Luxor Street. Social workers removed the four children from the family without providing a clear reason. The public outrage began after social services removed four children from the family. Eyewitnesses said some people in the community responded by setting fires and throwing stones. The riot initially began as a protest against the removal of the children. Local police described these as a 'serious disorder incident'. No injuries have been reported so far. Residents in Leeds have been urged to stay at home, and a large number of police has been deployed to Harehills.

Several arrests have been made following the rioting in Leeds which saw a double-decker bus set on fire, a police car overturned, rocks thrown and residents told to stay indoors.

The West Yorkshire force has confirmed the unrest in Harehills was sparked after officers went to assist social workers dealing with a child protection issue and came under attack.

Police said there would be further arrests in the coming days as they vowed to "leave no stone unturned" in their hunt for those behind Thursday night's disorder.

Hundreds have descended on the streets of Leeds again - with parents urged to keep their kids inside.

Footage shows crowds gathering for a peaceful protest in the Harehills area last night after rioters attacked cops on Thursday.

The crowds dissipated after brandishing signs and singing along to music.

Last night West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin said: "I will continue work with our partners to keep West Yorkshire safe.

North Korean hackers are attempting to steal nuclear and military secrets from governments and private companies around the world, the UK, US and South Korea have warned.

A white police officer shot and killed a black woman who had called for help because she believed there was an intruder at her house, bodycam footage has shown.

Sheriff’s Deputy Sean Grayson, 30, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Sonya Massey had called the police to her home in Springfield, Illinois, in the early hours of July 6. Mr Grayson and his partner responded to the call. After conducting a search around the property, they told Ms Massey they had not found anyone.
