Here is a delicious coleslaw recipe that goes great with fried chicken or my favorite, fried fish. This recipe is best made a the day before you eat or serve it. This also is a great take along side dish to your next barbecue, fish fry or potluck. It's a great way to use cabbage and makes a great side. You can adjust the salt or sweetness to your taste, but I think this is a good place to start.

INGREDIENTS
1 TO 1 1/2 lbs cabbage
1 shredded medium to large carrot
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp grated onion
1/4 tsp onion powder (optional)
3 tbls sugar (adjust to your taste)
1 1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1 tbls juice of lemon
*BE SURE TO REFRIGERATE AT LEAST 12 HOURS for best results
*YOU COULD ALSO JUST USE 1 CUP OF BUTTERMILK

One of my favorite breakfast foods! If you’ve never made pancake syrup from scratch then....you might want to skip it because seriously..once you taste homemade all the other store-bought kinds will because “just ok”. Although I have found one store-bought kind that tastes close to homemade (Log Cabin baby!)

This homemade pancake syrup is so buttery, smooth, rich and delicious! I’m not really a fan of having a lot of syrup on my waffles or pancakes but with this homemade syrup, I just want to drink it up!

It’s that good! Perfectly sweet and balanced out with the salt and butter. This and my buttermilk syrup recipe (recipe coming soon) is the only homemade syrup my boys will eat.

Try it out next time you make a batch of pancakes….or waffles…or french toast! Heck, this stuff is even good on ice cream!

Homemade Lemon Pepper Seasoning Recipe - Welcome to the first of many episodes on how to make your own seasonings. In this video I will show you just how easy it is to make a delicious Lemon Pepper Seasoning and you can control how much sodium you put in it also. Enjoy!

Lemon Pepper Seasoning Ingredients:
6 - 8 Lemons
1/2 cup Lemon Zest
2.5 tbsp Black Pepper
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1 tsp - 1 tbsp Kosher Salt

Add 2 tsp of your lemon pepper seasoning to a 1/2 cup of melted Butter and mix. Also, cut one lemon in half and squeeze the juice into your melted seasoned butter. Then toss wings when they come out of the oven. After tossing your wings, then zest your wings with fresh lemon zest and serve hot!

Low Sodium Lemon Pepper Seasoning
6 - 8 Lemons
1/2 cup Lemon Zest
2.5 tbsp Black Pepper
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1 tbsp Coriander
1 tbsp Turmeric
1 tsp Kosher Salt
