The program also covers statements from the U.S. defense secretary claiming more than 7,000 targets have been struck and Iran’s missile capabilities severely degraded, reports that an American F-35 was forced into an emergency landing after being hit, and Benjamin Netanyahu’s declaration that the war’s goals are to destroy Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and create conditions for regime change. Meanwhile, U.S. intelligence officials tell Congress that Mojtaba Khamenei was seriously wounded in an Israeli strike, and debate intensifies in Washington over a proposed $200 billion military budget to sustain the campaign.
