This song by "The Four Tops" was released in 1966 and made number one in the UK charts,and this song is probably one of the better known songs on the Motown label.

The Four Tops had a hit with this in 1968, with Levi Stubbs on lead vocals. Composed by The Left Banke's then 16-year-old keyboard player Michael Brown (real name Michael Lookofsky) and Tony Sansone.

"7-Rooms of Gloom" recorded by the Four Tops was released as a single in 1967 on the Motown label and reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was included on the LPs, Reach Out and The Four Tops Greatest Hits released in 1967. The song was written by the Holland--Dozier--Holland team, as were many of the Four Tops, Supremes, and other Motown groups' hits.
