The United States President Donald Trump has rejected the United Kingdom's offer of military support in West Asia, despite the UK's decision to send two aircraft carriers to the region. Trump told UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer that the US does not need UK support anymore, stating they don't need people involved when they've already won. The UK has deployed HMS Dragon and Wildcat helicopters to the region and sent F-35s to the Cyprus base for defensive purposes. Earlier, the UK had stated it would not get directly involved in the war or launch offensive strikes, and that its bases could only be used for defence. This hesitation reportedly upset Trump.
