A Canadian man has been convicted of following a proscribed organization in the U.K., following a weeks-long trial. Khaled Hussein, 29, of Edmonton, was accused of supporting radical Muslim group Al-Muhajiroun. The group's preacher, Anjem Choudary, was convicted of directing a terrorist group.

The Spanish economy has been growing faster than most of its European neighbours recently - and that's in great part due to its tourism industry.

Tourism contributes around 13% of GDP growth to the country's economy thanks to a model based on sand, sea and sun.

This year, nearly 100 million foreign visitors are expected - a new record - and not everyone is happy about the influx of tourists.

Anti-tourism protests have been taking place across many parts of the count§y, including popular destinations Barcelona and Malaga.

Police are hunting two men, after a have-a-go hero shop worker foiled machete wielding robbers by trapping them in his store.

The shocking incident took place in the Smethwick area of Birmingham earlier this month, when a gang entered a convenience store and threatened staff with a large knife.

Dramatic CCTV footage of the attempted robbery showed one of the masked men demanding money from the till while threatening to stab the shopkeeper.

Reform UK Deputy Leader Richard Tice says the footage is “not distressing”, but rather “reassuring”.
