Apps including TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram will become inaccessible for children, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said.

US forces have carried out new strikes on targets in Iran, after President Donald Trump accused the country of a "foolish violation" of the ceasefire in the Middle East. It follows an attack on a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz, which was hit by a drone two days ago.
US Central Command said it has responded by attacking missile and drone storage facilities and coastal radar positions in Iran. There has been no comment yet from the regime in Tehran.
Moments before the attacks were announced, President Trump said "you'll see" when asked if the US would respond to the Iranian attack on the cargo ship..
US Central Command - Centcom - described the strikes as "a powerful response" to the drone attack. In a statement it said: "The unwarranted aggression against commercial shipping by Iranian forces clearly violated the ceasefire… Iran's dangerous behavior undermined freedom of navigation as commerce increasingly flows through the vital international trade corridor."
Centcom said the US military would "continue to provide safe passage coordination and support to commercial vessels transiting the strait".
After US and Israeli launched a massive assault on Iran in February, Tehran closed the strait of Hormuz- a critical waterway for oil and gas shipments - causing a surge in global energy prices and choking off shipments of other crucial commodities such as fertiliser.
The US and Iran agreed on 17 June to end hostilities under a 14-point memorandum of understanding, which requires Iran to use its "best efforts for the safe passage of commercial vessels with no charge for 60 days".

Chancellor Rachel Reeves said in an exclusive interview with the BBC that any Labour leadership contest would "plunge the country into chaos".
It comes as Angela Rayner, seen as a potential challenger to PM Keir Starmer, was cleared by HMRC of wrongdoing over her tax affairs after settling £40,000 in unpaid stamp duty, saying she had been "exonerated" of the accusation she had "deliberately sought to avoid tax".
On Wednesday, allies of Health Secretary Wes Streeting said they expected him to launch a challenge as soon as today.

Scrolling through a check-list on his mobile phone, the latest asylum seeker to set foot in Britain asked me where he could exchange his foreign currency. The 25-year-old man from the Middle East had just arrived by bus at Belfast Grand Central Station through a backdoor route from the Republic of Ireland to the United Kingdom.
He had flown from Germany to Dublin Airport, before boarding the Translink X1 bus service to Northern Ireland. I was on the bus, retracing the two-hour journey believed to have been used by Hadi Alodid, the Sudanese man charged with the attempted murder of Stephen Ogilvie, 44, who lost an eye and suffered life-changing injuries in a knife attack in Belfast.

The UK terrorism threat level has been raised to "severe", meaning an attack is "highly likely" in the next six months.
Two Jewish men - Shloime Rand, 34, and Moshe Shine, 76 - were stabbed in Golders Green, north London, on Wednesday, in an attack police have declared as a terrorist incident.
The Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre said the increase follows yesterday's stabbings, but "is not solely a result of that attack".
