A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car collided with multiple pedestrians.

Five people were injured, with two being treated at the scene and three taken to hospital after the incident in Ealing Broadway, London.

Former Made in Chelsea star and maternity campaigner Louise Thompson quizzed the UK health secretary on a newly announced maternity commissioner role.

Thompson said she was "infantalised' during a traumatic labour.

James Murray said he will set out the scope for the role "in the next few weeks" before getting it into legislation "as quickly as possible".

It comes after a government-commissioned review found the NHS maternity care system in England is "not fit for the now and not fit for the future".

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has delivered his verdict on Andy Burnham's 10-year devolution plan.

Mr Farage, who railed against plans to hand devolved administrations more power, shared a short clip on social media in which he criticised the man vying to succeed Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister.

He said: "So, the big Andy Burnham speech today, he's going to rebalance power in Britain.

"What he means, of course, more and more devolution. As if, by magic, that is going to solve everything.

"Ask yourself the question: Has devolution in London, with Mayor Sadiq Khan, made London's streets safer? No.

"Has devolution in Wales given a better NHS or education? No, they're the worst in the country.

"And has devolution in Scotland cleaned up Scottish politics? Well, I think the recent jailing of one of the former bosses of the SNP would say no."

Mr Farage went on to warn that Mr Burnham's plan would fail to stop the boats or tackle the national debt.

The US and Iran have traded strikes, as negotiations to extend their ceasefire drag on without a resolution. On Monday, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had targeted an air base used by US forces. It also threatened to open "new fronts" in the conflict, and keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, in response to Israel's offensive in Lebanon.

So how great a threat does Iran's military pose to the US and its allies, after more than three months of war?

President Donald Trump has repeatedly said that Iran's forces have been "decimated". But new analysis by the BBC has found that Iran has damaged at least 20 US military sites across the Middle East since the start of the war - suggesting the attacks are more extensive than publicly acknowledged. Using cheap drones, Iran has targeted American military equipment worth millions of dollars including THAAD batteries.

Iranian forces have also reportedly reopened several missile sites damaged early in the conflict.

We ask Merlyn Thomas from BBC Verify and Parham Ghobadi from BBC Persian about Iran's military capacity and what it means for the chances of a deal between Washington and Tehran.

President Donald Trump has expressed disappointment with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer for blocking the use of Diego Garcia base to carry out strikes on Iran. This comes despite the UK allowing America to use multiple bases and ports to attack Iran and backing the joint military operation of America and Israel on Iran in principle. Diego Garcia is located in the Chagos Islands, which has been at the centre of a territorial dispute between Mauritius and the UK. The International Court ruled in favour of Mauritius, and the UK formally agreed to the handover of Chagos. Trump had previously objected to this handover, stating the UK had no right to do so as Diego Garcia hosts one of America's most important bases. The base is maintained by the United Kingdom, though maintenance is funded by the United States.

Keir Starmer has been warned that the longer the conflict with Iran goes on then “the more likely the impact on our economy”.

The Prime Minister made the comments on Monday while meeting with members of the public as the war in the Middle East rages into its tenth day.

It comes as Sir was accused of wrecking Britain’s “special relationship” with the US after Donald Trump launched a blistering attack on the PM accusing him of trying to “join wars after we’ve already won.”
