This specially recorded reading of St John's Gospel was filmed in the Jerusalem Chamber, Westminster Abbey, by acclaimed actor Sir David Suchet CBE.

Best-known for playing Agatha Christie’s fictional detective Hercule Poirot, Sir David became a Christian in 1986 after reading a hotel room Bible. He has read the entire Bible before, for Hodder & Stoughton’s NIV Audio Bible, which has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide.

The Jerusalem Chamber in the Abbey’s Deanery, the residence of the Dean of Westminster, has a pivotal role in the history of printed versions of the Holy Bible. It hosted the committees engaged on writing King James I’s Authorized Version of the Bible in 1611, the Revised Version in 1870, the New English Bible in 1961 and the Revised English Bible in 1989.

St John’s Gospel reached its final form around AD 90–110, although it contains signs of origins dating back to AD 70 and possibly even earlier. Like the three other gospels, it is anonymous, although it identifies an unnamed ‘disciple whom Jesus loved’ as the writer.

The New International Version of the Bible is the world’s most popular modern English Bible translation. Approximately 700 million people worldwide now live with chronic kidney disease (CKD), largely due to a huge spike in obesity and type 2 diabetes in recent decades. Low levels of NEDD4-2 exacerbate kidney damage, even in the absence of a high-salt diet and in people with low blood pressure. This critical finding could change the way that kidney disease is treated, explains UniSA researcher Dr Jantina Manning in this video. The long term goal is to develop a drug that can increase NEDD4-2 levels in people with CKD, helping to stem the 29 per cent increase in chronic kidney disease in the past 30 years.

John's prostate cancer had spread to his lymps, lungs and bones and his prognosis was 6 months to a year. He had already undergone hormone therapy, chemotherapy and another treatment but with no success. However, thanks to a clinical trial using a new treatment he was able to nearly eliminate the cancer. And so the RB4 uploads resume! I know you've all been very patiently waiting for this momentous occasion. At least this is a great one with which to kick it off. Wet Hot American Summer, anyone? What a great movie.

"Jane, you're playing a game you never can win." Truer words had never been spoken concerning RB4. What an absolute mess. On the surface, this may not seem like that difficult of a song, but you have to understand how ridiculously unreliable this game is to get a tenuous grasp of how unlikely this was to happen. This FBFC could have happened EASILY twenty times in the time it took to finally get this run where it all finally came together. The latest update apparently fucked drums so hard that notes would drop at random, and my lord was that evident in this FBFC session. The sheer amount of clear dropped notes in the easiest sections of this song left us all baffled. The game was already trash to begin with, in terms of both its engine and appearance. How could this game, already inconsistent to begin with, become so much more unreliable over time to the point where there was actually no logical explanation for the dropped notes? Unbelievable.

Anyway, the fact that this FBFC happened under these ridiculous circumstances is a true testament to the godly consistency exhibited by all everyone in this band. Steven FCed this fucking thing three times in a row. Sadly, the awful trill lanes gave Ben a great deal of grief, after he consistently FCed for at least an hour's worth of runs, if not more. Matt and Andrew never missed the entire time because they're total studs. Obligatory shoutout to Travis, who attempted this extensively the day prior. It just wasn't in the cards that time around. I participated in the majority of the runs as well, but took a break just a couple runs before it finally happened. I was actually scared by the reaction that erupted from several rooms away.
