Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has delivered his verdict on Andy Burnham's 10-year devolution plan.

Mr Farage, who railed against plans to hand devolved administrations more power, shared a short clip on social media in which he criticised the man vying to succeed Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister.

He said: "So, the big Andy Burnham speech today, he's going to rebalance power in Britain.

"What he means, of course, more and more devolution. As if, by magic, that is going to solve everything.

"Ask yourself the question: Has devolution in London, with Mayor Sadiq Khan, made London's streets safer? No.

"Has devolution in Wales given a better NHS or education? No, they're the worst in the country.

"And has devolution in Scotland cleaned up Scottish politics? Well, I think the recent jailing of one of the former bosses of the SNP would say no."

Mr Farage went on to warn that Mr Burnham's plan would fail to stop the boats or tackle the national debt.

A water cannon has been deployed to disperse a large crowd after a second night of disorder in Northern Ireland following the Belfast knife attack.

Riot police came under sustained attack from a group throwing bricks, bottles and pieces of wood at a major roundabout to the north-west of Belfast.

Additional officers were drafted in but Wednesday's disorder was not on the same scale as Tuesday's violence.

Public transport shut down across Northern Ireland and some schools closed early on Wednesday ahead of any disruption. Belfast city centre was deserted after many businesses shut up shop by lunchtime.

'The biggest shake-up in policing since the service was formed!'

Home and Security Editor Mark White reacts as Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood announces a new nationwide police force to tackle serious crime alongside regional forces.

The Labour Government has officially unveiled a radical overhaul of British policing, announcing the creation of a new National Police Service (NPS)—dubbed the "British FBI." Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood’s reforms aim to centralize counter-terror, fraud, and organized crime investigations, while simultaneously preparing a "White Paper" to merge the existing 43 regional forces into as few as 12 "mega-forces." We explore the implications of these sweeping changes, from the controversial "Licence to Practise" that could see veteran officers sacked, to the rapid rollout of facial recognition technology. Is this a necessary modernization of a "postcode lottery" system, or the beginning of an authoritarian shift in British law and order?

In this video, we cover:

The UK-US special relationship appears to be under strain after US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth slammed "traditional allies" for not supporting Donald Trump.

Sky's Mark Stone says the United States is "very angry" with the UK over its refusal to allow the US to use its air bases to attack Iran.

Sir Keir Starmer initially turned down a US request to use British bases for its campaign against Iran as it determined what Trump was planning was not legal under international law. But on Sunday, the PM said the nature of the request, and therefore the answer, had changed.

An American crew member rescued after a fighter jet was shot down over Iran is “safe and sound”, US President Donald Trump said.

The operation to rescue the airman led to an engagement between US and Iranian forces, after a race to locate them, with Iranian officials offering cash rewards to citizens to find them "alive”.

It is understood the rescue was a hugely complex operation involving significant US military resources, with hundreds of special forces personnel, several dozen warplanes and helicopters tasked with the search.

The Kybalion - The Principle of Correspondence - Hermetic teachings, Gnostic wisdom, Occult knowledge. The Principle of Correspondence "As above, so below; as below, so above." The Kybalion. This Principle embodies the truth that there is always a Correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of Being and Life. The old Hermetic axiom ran in these words: "As above, so below; as below, so above." And the grasping of this Principle gives one the means of solving many a dark paradox, and hidden secret of Nature. There are planes beyond our knowing, but when we apply the Principle of Correspondence to them we are able to understand much that would otherwise be unknowable to us. This Principle is of universal application and manifestation, on the various planes of the material, mental, and spiritual universe--it is an Universal Law. The ancient Hermetists considered this Principle as one of the most important mental instruments by which man was able to pry aside the obstacles which hid from view the Unknown. Its use even tore aside the Veil of Isis to the extent that a glimpse of the face of the goddess might be caught. Just as a knowledge of the Principles of Geometry enables man to measure distant suns and their movements, while seated in his observatory, so a knowledge of the Principle of Correspondence enables Man to reason intelligently from the Known to the Unknown. Studying the monad, he understands the archangel.
