Lyrics:

Cassy's got a new plan, gotta get herself away
Well, I'd better act quick, yeah, I'd better ch-ch-change my ways
Oh, maybe I'm wasting, maybe I'm chasing time
Oh, come on, let's face it, I'm only ever lost in mine

Well, I got my tracing paper, so that I could trace my clock
And the bastard face kept changing, and the hands, they wouldn't stop
I was ripping out the battery, I received myself a shock
And to add insult to injury, I could still hear tick and tock

Cassy O'
Cassy O'
Please don't leave
Cassy O'
Cassy O'
Please don't leave

Cassy's got a new plan, gotta give herself a break
And I try, I try, I try, for heaven's sake
Well, I traveled to Australia
And I traveled there by train
This something might sound strange to you
But on the way I gained a day

And I wrote to tell my family
And I wrote to tell my friends
I arrived home, it was lost again and this torture never ends

Cassy O'
Cassy O'
Please don't leave
Cassy O'
Cassy O'
Please

Inspector, fix me, my Cassy O's burnt out
We're losing memories that I can't replace
She says she's tired of me running in circles
She says it's time that we took a break

Cassy O'
Cassy O'
Please don't leave

Lyrics
You know that time never sleeps
Keep one eye open like
I've got my head full of dreams
All shattered and broken like
Never chose love, it chose me
But I'm still here making stones bleed
So I'll go on swimming upstream
'Til I come tumbling down
Oh, when the working don't pay
Oh, when you're living on faith
Something's got to give
Something's got to give
Oh, when you're giving your all
Oh, when it's coming up short
Something's got to give
Something's got to give
Gotta give a little more
Woah, yes
When the going gets tough
Gotta give a little more
Woah, yes
In the name of the Father
Hey, I've been caught in the red
Needing the breath of life
But I came back from the dead
Diamond like, golden like
Never chose love, it chose me
But I keep burning endlessly, so
Go tell them angels I'm blessed (Go, go tell 'em)
There ain't no taking me down
Oh, when the working don't pay
Oh, when you're living on faith
Something's got to give
Something's got to give
Oh, when you're giving your all
Oh, when it's coming up short
Something's got to give
Something's got to give
Gotta give a little more
Woah, yes
When the going gets tough
Gotta give a little more
Woah, yes
In the name of the Father
Give a little more
Woah, yes (Woah, yes)
When the going gets tough
Gotta give a little more
Woah, yes
When the going gets tough
Gotta
Say it (Woo-hoo)
We've made it
I said, "Love it when a plan comes together"
Baby, say it (Woo-hoo)
We've made it
I said, "Love it when a plan comes together" (Hey!)
Say it (Woo-hoo)
We've made it
Hey, I love it when a plan comes together
Baby, say it (Woo-hoo)
We've made it
Say, "I love it when a plan comes together"
Hey

Check also my video to Kris' original song from 1970
http://youtu.be/vbqGWTxwZEA

Kris said in an interview, "This song probably was the most directly autobiographical thing I had written. In those days I was living in a slum tenement that was torn down afterwards, but it was 25 dollars a month in a condemned building, and "Sunday Morning Coming Down" was more or less looking around me and writing about what I was doing. One time, some people broke into that place, and I had to call the police station to answer some questions about it, and the guy said, "Yeah, they really trashed the place when they went in there." But I hadn't noticed that it was any different. There were holes in the wall bigger than I was. It was quite a place, so "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is kind of more or less what I was living at that time. I guess it was depressing, I don't know, but the chorus was kind of uplifting. ... What I was really trying to do was to keep the feeling of loss and of sadness. For me at that time, it was the loss of my family and looking at a little kid swinging on a swing and his daddy pushing him. That was the feeling I wanted to get for the whole song. I think Sunday was the choice because the bars were closed in the morning and nobody was at work, so if you were alone, it was the most alone time..."

Lyrics:
We built this city
We built this city on rock and roll
Built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

Say you don't know me
Or recognize my face
Say you don't care who goes
To that kind of place
Knee deep in the hoopla
Sinking in your fight
Too many runaways
Eating up the night

Marconi plays the mamba
Listen to the radio, don't you remember?
We built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

We built this city
We built this city on rock and roll
Built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

Someone always playing
Corporation games
Who cares they're always changing
Corporation names
We just want to dance here
Someone stole the stage
They call us irresponsible
Write us off the page

Marconi plays the mamba
Listen to the radio, don't you remember?
We built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

We built this city
We built this city on rock and roll
Built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

It's just another Sunday
In a tired old street
Police have got the chokehold, oh
And we just lost the beat
Who counts the money
Underneath the bar
Who rides the wrecking ball
Into our guitars
Don't tell us you need us
'Cause we're the ship of fools
Looking for America
Coming through your schools

I'm looking out over that Golden Gate bridge
On another gorgeous sunny Saturday
And I'm seeing that bumper to bumper traffic
Don't you remember? ('Member, 'member)
It's your favorite radio station
In your favorite radio city
The city by the bay, the city that rocks
The city that never sleeps

Marconi plays the mamba
Listen to the radio, don't you remember?
We built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

We built this city
We built this city on rock and roll
Built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

Built this city (Oo-ho)
We built this city on rock and roll
Built this city
We built this city on rock and roll

We built, we built this city, yeah
(Built this city) We built, we built this city
We built, we built this city, yeah
(Built this city) We built, we built this city
We built, we built this city, yeah
(Built this city) We built, we built this city
We built, we built this city, yeah
(Built this city) We built, we built this city
We built, we built this city, yeah

Lyrics -
Didn’t know that I’d fall so hard
That my feet left the ground
Gravity don’t make no sense
When you’re around
I come up against myself when
Demons in my head get loud
I don’t know how you do it but you
Turn them down
I slip and wonder who I’d be
If I never found you
And you never found me
Well I don’t wanna see
So won’t you give me tonight
And the rest of your life
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all with you
And when you open your eyes
I’ll be there by your side
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all with you
Cause your love is biblical
Biblical
It’s biblical
If you ever go to pieces
Fall between the thunder clouds
I will put you back together
I won’t let you down
I slip and wonder what I’d do
If you never found me
And I never found you
I don’t know what I’d do
So won’t you give me tonight
And the rest of your life
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all with you
And when you open your eyes
I’ll be there by your side
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all
I want to have it all (I want to have it all)
I want to have it all (I want to have it)
I want to have it all
Cause your love is biblical
It’s biblical
It’s biblical
So won’t you give me tonight
And the rest of your life
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all with you
So come on and give me tonight
And the rest of your life
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all with you
And when you open your eyes
I’ll be there by your side
I want to have it all with you
I want to have it all with you
Cause your love is biblical
It’s biblical
It’s biblical
