To avoid common problems some people mostly encounter with these baguettes, follow this standard advice procedure and you won't go wrong.
1. Stick to the recipe rigidly, the quantities are very important for successful results
2. Use scales for the measurements including the water, don't convert to cups or measuring jugs, they are too inaccurate
3. Use proper white bread flour with at least 12% protein, check the ingredients list on the side of the flour bag, protein may show in grams per serving but just work it out, it needs to be 12g of protein per 100g of flour, plain or all purpose flour is not strong enough for making bread.
4. Check your yeast is working you can do a yeast test as shown in my sandwich bread video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWpSbYV96_c
Any problems or inquiries I'm always here to help. And please let me know how you get on with the recipe.

University of California, Berkeley engineers have built the first dust-sized, wireless sensors that can be implanted in the body, bringing closer the day when a Fitbit-like device could monitor internal nerves, muscles or organs in real time.
For full story, visit: http://news.berkeley.edu/2016/....08/03/sprinkling-of-
Video by Roxanne Makasdjian and Stephen McNally
The so-called neural dust, which the team implanted in the muscles and peripheral nerves of rats, is unique in that ultrasound is used both to power and read out the measurements. Ultrasound technology is already well-developed for hospital use, and ultrasound vibrations can penetrate nearly anywhere in the body, unlike radio waves, the researchers say.
“I think the long-term prospects for neural dust are not only within nerves and the brain, but much broader,“ said Michel Maharbiz, an associate professor of electrical engineering and computer sciences and one of the study’s two main authors. “Having access to in-body telemetry has never been possible because there has been no way to put something supertiny superdeep. But now I can take a speck of nothing and park it next to a nerve or organ, your GI tract or a muscle, and read out the data.“
The sensors, which the researchers have already shrunk to a 1 millimeter cube – about the size of a large grain of sand – contain a piezoelectric crystal that converts ultrasound vibrations from outside the body into electricity to power a tiny, on-board transistor that is in contact with a nerve or muscle fiber. A voltage spike in the fiber alters the circuit and the vibration of the crystal, which changes the echo detected by the ultrasound receiver, typically the same device that generates the vibrations. The slight change, called backscatter, allows them to determine the voltage.
Because these batteryless sensors could also be used to stimulate nerves and muscles, the technology also opens the door to “electroceuticals” to treat disorders such as epilepsy or to stimulate the immune system or tamp down inflammation.

It snowed 30 inches (76 cm) in less than 12 hrs but I was comfy and warm in my dugout shelter (snow cave) under 10 feet (3 meters) of snow. I built a mass snow cave the size of a small cabin carved from the snow in the Alaskan Mountains. But while the solo camping was comfortable, the return home was very not, my poor car was buried and it took me 3 hrs to dig myself to freedom and only after a lot of help from strangers.

I gather 10-survival-items and head out into the Northern Canadian Wilderness to set up a primitive shelter, hunt by primitive stone arrows and longbow, and drive the elusive snowshoe hare in deep snow.

River Bend Longbows (longbow): https://www.youtube.com/@RiverbendlongbowsOutdoors
I set up snares, and push rabbits from their daytime hiding spots into a snare line carefully crafted to intercept moving hares. I also build a primitive shelter using natural materials with the help of snow, branches, a shovel and a saw under a fallen tree. I use my pot to make rabbit stew and to boil water for drinking. Winter survival is all about staying warm, and more importantly, staying dry. After that, survival is about gathering food and other sustenance so that it's more about thriving than just suffering.
10-Item Primitive Winter Survival Challenge (NO Food, Water, Shelter) | Stone Arrows, Bow, Wire, Saw
My 10 Winter Survival Items:
1. Pot
2. Shovel
3. Tarp
4. Lighter
5. Saw
6. Snowshoes
7. Snare Wire
8. Long Bow, and Stone Arrows
9. Sheers
10. Seat (luxury item)
We also catch some snowshoe hares in the deep snow by setting some snares. Winter survival is difficult, but with knowledge and experience, surviving in Canada can still be comfortable.
Primitive challenge with a few simple basic tools. I will show you how to start a fire. After survival is taken care of, it's all about making your situation even better. Finding food, water, and making a shelter is a must to create ultimate survival comfort. I use a saw and basic tools to make a bushcrafter shelter in the Canadian forest using materials around us like tree branches.
Thankfully there is plenty of snow to make water, but first a fire is needed to survive as eating snow cools the body and is difficult on the body's system. Thankfully we have a small billy can or steel water pot for boiling water.

I test my survival skills in the Canadian forest to survive with just the things I carry in my small backpack. I'll survive with just a knife, saw, and my 22 long rifle. My Spices (Shop and Support): https://www.thewoodedbeardsman.com/shop/
I will make a primitive friction fire with a cedar spindle and a cedar base or hearth board. I'll shoot a grouse, pluck and cook it over an open fire and build a shelter with materials I find in the woods. I'll build a simple lean-to shelter with sticks, and make an epic fire to cook wild edibles I find in the forest.
I'm fortunate to find some fall wild foods including black walnuts, and apples, though they are a little far gone to be completely seasonal. So I cook them and dry them over the fire to make them edible. Thankfully I find a stream to purify water, but I also show you you can drink water from snow.
Primitive challenge with a few simple basic tools. I will show you how to start a fire using primitive techniques and cook a wild grouse over an open fire. Survival is all about making the best of a bad situation. Staying warm and dry is the key to staying alive. After survival is taken care of, it's all about making your situation even better. Finding food, water, and making a shelter is a must to create ultimate survival comfort. I use a saw and basic tools to make a bushcrafter shelter in the Canadian forest using materials around us like tree branches and dried grass.
I attempt a friction fire using primitive technology - a cedar spindle, hearth board, and some birch bark and cedar shavings for a tinder bundle. Can I get a fire lite in tough conditions?
