Directions:
- Add 1 1/2 cups olive oil to 1 quart glass jar
- Mix in 1/4 cup each of dried calendula flowers, plantain leaf, comfrey leaf, and chickweed leaf
- Create a double boiler by putting jar into a pot of water with a cloth underneath the jar
- Allow to simmer for at least 3-5 hours, longer is even better (remember to replace water as it evaporates)
- After simmering, allow jar to cool
- Strain herbs out of olive oil
- Return jar to a pot of cool water
- Add 1/4 cup beeswax to infused olive oil
- Simmer until beeswax is melted, mix well
- Pour liquid salve into containers while hot
- Allow to solidify
