"Death Fighter" is a thrilling action movie that immerses the viewer in the tense atmosphere of the criminal world of Thailand. The plot centers on an American policeman, Michael, who witnesses the murder of his mentor during a deal gone wrong. This tragic event turns Michael's life upside down and forces him to go to the other side of the law in a foreign and dangerous country.

After the murder of his mentor, Michael finds himself drawn into the thick of criminal intrigue and forced to hide from local authorities and criminal gangs who want to get rid of the only witness. Being in constant danger, he decides that the only way to survive and achieve justice is to find those responsible and avenge the death of his mentor.

On the way to his goal, Michael is forced to resort to extreme measures, engaging in fierce battles and overcoming numerous obstacles. In this he is helped by a former military man and a local fighter, with whom he teams up to fight against a common threat. Together they confront the corrupt officials and powerful criminal elements that control the city.

"Death Fighter" is a fast-paced mix of martial arts, drama and intense gunplay. The film keeps the viewer in constant suspense thanks to carefully choreographed fight scenes and dramatic plot twists. The film culminates in an epic final showdown, where Michael must use all his skills and strength to defeat his enemies and finally find peace.

In a historic step, The Kansas City Star, one of the most influential newspapers in the Midwest, has apologized for the paper’s racist history. The paper’s top editor, Mike Fannin, admitted the Star and a sister paper had reinforced segregation, Jim Crow laws and redlining, and “robbed an entire community of opportunity, dignity, justice and recognition” with its biased coverage over many decades. We speak with Fannin and Mará Rose Williams, a longtime education writer at the paper who led the effort to examine the newspaper’s coverage of the Black community following the police killing of George Floyd and the nationwide racial justice uprising this year. “Mainstream newspapers across the country, not just The Kansas City Star, have not done a good job of covering the Black community,” says Williams.
