I thought I would share how I made a magneto ignition for an old 1940's WW2 motorbike from a chainsaw. It will only work on a two stroke of course and you can't advance or retard the ignition when riding. It does however work pretty well and will get you back on the road rather than just look at your bike. I know purists will moan but oh well. Keep on moaning and walking.

I made an ultrasonic cleaner out of some jars and an electric sander I found on a recent dumpster dive safari . Well,.. it's more of an "ultrasonic-ish" vibrating cleaner really .... and it works bad a$$ ! Perfect for carburetor and other delicate motorcycle parts as I continue to work on the café racer !

In this video I will show you how I made my own ultrasonic cleaner and test if it will work.
I started with this metal container, any sheet metal container, like a used pan should work. I took the measurements and constructed a frame to hold the container and allow me to lift it easily. I added a panel to install my electronics onto. The box for teh electronics was installed on the panel. In my case the circuit board fit perfectly inside the box so it didn't need fastening.
The ultrasonic genetor was glue to the middle of the bottom of the container. I might later add a second generator and move them and space them equally. The control board has capability to run 2 of those generators. The electronics are very simple. I added teh simple schematic to the video. A button was installed to turn the device on and off.

Today's issue will be devoted to the creation of an ultrasonic cleaning bath, which is based on a 60 W Langevin piezoceramic emitter. We will look at what the device consists of, how to configure it, and we will learn how to clean things no worse than Mr. Proper.
I purpose build a homemade humidifier for a mushroom fruiting chamber using ultrasonic misters and foggers. Here is a video taking you through the build, in hopes of giving you some ideas on how to make one of your own. The ultrasonic mister was purchased from Amazon, the rest of the parts were purchased locally. The mister works great, and it hasn't skipped a beat for months. combined with a Tork Percentage Controller I can really fine turn my humidity settings.
The humidifier works by turning the water into fog and the fan them pumps the humidified air up through my ventilation system.
UDDATE - As of June 2020 this homemade humidifier has still been running for between 6-12 hours per day as hasn't skipped a beat!
The fan has a 36w LED driver powering it which I forgot to film.
