Today I’m going to cover the top natural remedies for a UTI urinary tract infection. A urinary tract infection is an infection that could occur in the bladder, ureter, urethra, or kidneys.

Urinary tract infections are the second most common type of infection, and women are more susceptible than men. 90% of UTI infections are caused by E. coli, which is bacteria that are normally in the colon.

Symptoms of a urinary tract infection:
• Painful urination
• Frequent urination
• Blood in the urine
• Abdominal pain

Natural remedies for a urinary tract infection:
1. Make sure your liquids are a little bit higher (drink at least 2.5 liters per day)
2. Take a food-based vitamin C supplement, not a synthetic version (at least 500mg of natural vitamin C)
3. Drink unsweetened cranberry juice
4. Take a good probiotic (that involves lactobacillus bacteria)
5. Take garlic
6. Drink uva ursi tea
